My eyes stared at the massive cathedral in front of me, taking in the enormous beige building. It was set dead in the middle of Evercrest, far from Ashbourne. The contrast between the place was night and day. Ashbourne was dark, rotting, and close-knitted buildings. Most of the buildings were becoming the Earth once again. Evercrest was very clean and almost brand new.
The buildings were standing tall with high skyscrapers around the cathedral. My nerves had taken over, and I had been unable to push myself to go in yet. Maybe in like five minutes, I would be able to force myself to go in. But right now… I couldn’t. I shouldn’t be here. This place wasn’t for me. It was the best job anyone could land, high paying and filled with teaching. “Are we admiring something?” A voice came from beside me.
